I’m a busy working momma – and I hate to cook. My family however, likes to eat. Several times a day in fact! So, cook I must. I’m always looking for ways to make it faster, easier or just plain MORE FUN.
As I started to cook more family orientated meals I found myself searching out websites to look for recipes and ideas. As I started to make cute lunches for my son I found myself taking pictures and sharing them with others. Many people liked my ideas and wanted to be included on such updates, so I made this food blog to showcase all the recipes, tips and ideas that have worked for my family.
Who are we?
Deanna – The Momma! I work full time and also raise two children (and a husband!). I never considered myself a “cook” and did not start enjoying food until I started to make meals for my son. I work for a Medicare Advantage plan and my job is help new companies get started!
Joel – The Daddy. Works full time as a computer programmer. Makes breakfast sometimes. Does Kung Fu.
Leo – The Toddler. Leo is (at this time) 3 years and old. Leo is a great eater! He loves all food and has never been known to turn down a veggie so far! He will eat all kinds of things that a typical toddler would turn their nose up at.
Riley – The baby. Riley is (At this time) only 1 year old. (I need to put a new photo up!) He’s huge! And growing every day! I pack him a fresh made lunch every day as he now eats table food!
I am a busy mom but I like to take the time to make special lunches for my son called “bentos”. I will do a full bento resource post soon! We also do a lot of Asian cooking as we live near a lot of great Asian Food Markets.
Being busy means I am always searching for time savers and quick meals, things you can make ahead of time, etc. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
